Statement of Faith

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word, divinely inspired and inerrant in the original manuscripts. We believe it is preserved by God in complete inspiration, making it divinely authoritative and applicable to every age and every life.

We believe that the Godhead is the Creator of all things. He eternally exists in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit and these three are one God. We believe because creation was by divine command, He alone is absolutely sovereign and holy. In His love for people He sent Jesus into the world to save sinners.

We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin and that in His flesh He was both God and man. That He lived a sinless and exemplary life, and was crucified on a cross as a penalty for our sins. He was raised from the dead on the third day and later ascended in heaven where He now sits on the right side of the Father. We believe He is the head of the church, interceding for believers, and will one day visibly return back to earth and set up His millennial kingdom.

We believe people are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called ‘sin.” Sin separates us from Him and causes many problems in our life.

We believe people can never make up for their sin by self-improvement or good works. That only Jesus’ death and shed blood is the perfect atonement for sin. Only by trusting in the person and work of Him, can we have forgiveness of our sins and be reconciled to God. We believe that a true believer is eternally secure, that they cannot lose their salvation, but that sin may interrupt the joy of their fellowship with God and bring the loving discipline of their heavenly Father.

We believe that at the moment of salvation a person is born into the family of God, becoming co-heirs with Jesus, and receives eternal life and a new nature by the filling and indwelling of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit gives a Christian spiritual giftings and empowers them to live the life God created us to live. We believe that it should be the goal of every Christian to become a disciple of Christ by growing toward spiritual maturity through the knowledge of and obedience to the Word of God and submission to the work of the Holy Spirit in their lives.
